While Harbour Lights Theatre was officially launched in 2025 with A One Man Christmas Carol —our story began many years earlier.

You could say the Artistic Director’s journey started at age eight, when his parents built him a stage in their basement… though that might be a bit of a stretch. In truth, it all began with front-yard Halloween entertainment. Thanks to overwhelming community support, what started as a small neighborhood tradition quickly grew into something much bigger.

Year after year, our Spooktacular evolved—from an interactive Magic Mirror, to immersive character walk-throughs, to Broadway performers, dancers, projection mapping, and even a live horse. Eventually, it became clear we had outgrown the front yard and were ready to dream bigger.

Then came COVID. As a live art form, theatre was deeply impacted, and many of our actor friends suddenly found themselves out of work. One of our first major post-shutdown events was Mickey’s Spectacular Festival of Music, a Disney-inspired fundraiser concert at the Kingston Collection Mall featuring NYC performers, food trucks, princess meet-and-greets, and plenty of space (and masks). Shortly after, we found creative ways to keep the magic of the season alive by bringing caroling back to neighborhoods—once again with safety front and center.

For years now, Harbour Lights Theatre has been proud to bring Broadway-caliber talent to the South Shore. With incredible momentum and unwavering community support, we are thrilled to now be an official theatre company in town.Harbour Lights Theatre has so much ahead, and we look forward to continuing to make history here on Boston’s South Shore.
